Had an interesting time at For Sisters Only at the Merchandise Mart in Charlotte on Saturday. I will leave it there:) Shout out to Bluz, you are a funny dude man!! Also, shout out to all the poets that came out. I gained some food for my spirit from a gang of talented spoken word artists who showed up to leave a message. Always good to hear poets who are interested in feeding the soul and who take the craft serious.
Shout out to Lloyd Strayhorn! Had a chance to meet the brother and talk one on one with him before things got poppin at For Sisters Only. Real down to earth and approachable brotha and he certainly has a gift with the numbers! Have to say I was a non-believer until he read me like a book after I gave him my birthdate:) If you have not had the experience of watching him do his thing, I'd highly recommend his book. Thanks for the words of wisdon Lloyd, I apprecaite them more than you will know:) Will be in touch when I come to NY! Thanks to those of you that stopped by my table to chat and buy the book, I really appreciate it! Would love to hear your feedback.
