My CD Coming Soon!

Good Morning!

Hope you are all well and counting your blessings no matter how things appear. So much to be thankful for.

Today is a big day for me because I go into the studio to cut my first CD! Yeah! I am so excited I can barely contain myself! You should be able to hear a sample of it on my website in the next few weeks.

So I met with a wise friend yesterday to talk about venturing out and going for my dreams and he gave me sound advice. First of all he told me to find a mentor, someone who has been where I am about to go. His rationale in this was that they might be able to help me avoid some pitfalls because they had been there and done that. Secondly, he suggested I be authentic with myself; decide if I might need to talk to my employer and see if there were any flexibility for me in my current position. Lastly, he told me to put together a business plan and then get out there and talk to folk who might be able to invest! I can do that! I left our lunch engagement feeling optimistic, encouraged and on fire. Nothing like talking to someone who can give you sound practical advice.

So I continue to move forward, dream, act and hold fast to what I know...Marina, I'ma Poet and to the world I'm gonna show it!!!!
