Lunch Break Thoughts

Greetings my fellow friends,
Hope you are having an awesome day too! No, I know you are having an awesome day, how's that! Once again, I tell those of you that have not picked up my CD that you better get yours if you know what I know! I listened to it last night again as I do everyday when I get a chance, and I am so in awe. Not of me per say, but of God. I listen to the words and they remind me of the creation process, how our thoughts and speaking create our world. It just blows me away. You can't imagine how honored I am to be the vessel for such powerful words that speak empowerment, encouragement, and inspiration to not just black men but to anyone who is open to receive the message. This is why it is so important my friends that we be careful of what words we speak, not just for ourselves but for others and the planet as a whole.

I have grown so much through this process of self-publishing a book, cutting a CD, performing, etc. I tell you, you never know what you have inside until you put yourself out there and allow God to direct and guide your life. However, hold up...I am so careful about being misleading, and I always reiterate to those whom I have the pleasure of talking with that this is called work! If it falls in your lap, you're blessed, but for the most part you got to "work it" like Teena Marie says! I heard Steve Harvey say yesterday that "faith without works is dead." Can I get a AMEN! Oh but the payoff! Let me tell you about the payoff... it is worth more than money, you know why? Because it builds self-confidence, self-worth, tenacity, courage, vision, faith and all them other things that go along with realizing you have everything you need inside. And the last time I checked they didn't have any of those characteristics for sale!

Be blessed, be you, be God.
Marina
