I've been away for a few days but it's good to be back! Lots going on. If you've looked at the website recently, you'll see that I've added a new page called Signings/News. You'll also see that the month of April will be a happening month for me! I love the book signings because they give me an opportunity to recite and to meet you:) So please introduce yourself and let me know if you've been to the site when we meet.
My son and I went to the Davis Cup in Winston-Salem this weekend and had an opportunity to see James Blake play. I'm happy to report he won! That brotha know he can play some tennis! We had fun hanging out together. I cherish these times knowing they are fleeting. We also watched Malcolm X and the first part of Roots. I am in awe of what we as a people have come through when I watch programs that correctly depict my history. I thank God for those who understand the importance of appropriately documenting our history via the media, written word, dance, art, etc. I tell you what I've concluded as a result - God is not through with us yet. Given all that we've been through, are going through, there is no reason we should still be a prosperous people. Goes to show we certainly have favor that's for sure!
