I went to church yesterday, and the minister talked about reaping what you sow, but she offered the old adage with a spin. Most of the time when we hear this idea we think about other people and what they may have done to us and wish them not so good thoughts. Or we think about folk that might be doing things we don't agree with and decide what they will reap, and it ain't always nice. She reminded us those thoughts create energy and like response for us too. She suggested when we decide someone else's fate with negative thoughts, those thoughts create for us, the thinker. I had never thought of it that way! It sure got my attention cause I know I've been guilty of deciding what someone else deserves based on what I've perceived they've done to me, but never stop to contemplate what that energy might be creating for me. Her words were a blessing for my soul in that they also helped me to see forgiveness in her message. If all I send someone who I've deemed has done me harm nothing but good thoughts, then that can help me to move on and forgive a whole lot sooner. I imagine this idea has to be one that is practiced because there are some folk who I have to really apply this concept to:) But on the positive side, I did call an old friend to make amends.
Another way she applied the idea of reaping what you sow was in terms of what words and thoughts we put out into the Universe. She reminded us that the Universe only says "yes" to whatever we ask or think. So if we say we don't have any money, the Universe says yes, but if we say we have abundance, the Universe says yes. Do you get how powerful and accurate that is? I certainly do and it has me checking my every thought and word until it becomes second nature. My mantra now is - I thank the Universe for blessing me with everything I need, desire and ask for!"
Until next time,
God bless you with abundance!!!!
